Chloé Valdary: Responding to Gender Discrimination with Confidence and Compassion
Discrimination has been a constant challenge that has obstructed growth all over the world and yet, the basis of discrimination, the prejudice that drives it in and of itself is never reason enough to dismiss or denigrate someone. This episode is my attempt to understand what drives discrimination and how women can respond to gender discrimination at work in a way that's compassionate, intelligent, and doesn't jeopardise their growth.
Chloe Valdary, the creator of The Theory of Enchantment, shares ideas and techniques that have the power to transform how we see ourselves and then how we in turn interpret the world around us, including how we
respond to moments of injustice and discriminatory actions.
After spending a year as a Bartley fellow at the Wall Street Journal, Chloé Valdary developed The Theory of Enchantment, an innovative framework for compassionate antiracism that combines social emotional learning (SEL), character development, and interpersonal growth as tools for leadership development in the boardroom and beyond. Chloé has trained around the world. Her clients have included high school and college students, government agencies, business teams, + many more. She has also lectured in universities across America, and her work has been covered in Psychology Today Magazine and her writings have appeared in the New York Times and the Wall St Journal.
